Background:
Nate never knew that he would end up in the PPC in the first place since the day he followed the Shadow Mirrors in their dimension jump. Three months ago in HST, he was one of the unlucky fellows who took a wrong turn and jumped into the wrong dimension. First, he ended up in a Suefic which he is not familiar with. The Sue tried to turn him into her twu wub... Which Nate rejected by stomping on the Sue with his Gespenst Mk. II after seeing how stupid and vindictive she is towards her comrades and her enemies (and painting his Gespenst from dark blue to urple).
After killing the Sue, Nate was suddenly pulled into a dimension hole and drifted for two days until another hole opened and sucked Nate is. When he got out, he saw the PPC HQ and on the grounds outside PPC, a strange looking being. He wasn't sure at first but he maneuvered his Gespy away from the spot to prevent him from killing the being. The being that Nate nearly killed is the Sunflower Official.
The Sunflower Official was surprised and pissed off and flooded the pilot of the disgustingly painted mech's thoughts with reprimands. Nate was shocked at first since he never knew that there was actually someone other than him inside his head. When Nate saw a Sunflower in a suit, he laughed since someone was stupid enough to put clothes on a flower... which made SO more angry and flooded his thoughts with more reprimands and told him that 'the stupid flower in a suit' is the one who is talking to him inside his mind (to Nate's surprise). The SO saw his urple Gespenst and red glitters on its foot, he asked about what happened. Nate complied and gave him his story about being separated from his comrades, to going into a Suefic, to drifting for two days, up to getting into the PPC HQ and nearly killing him.
When Nate finished his story, the Sunflower Official asked Nate if he could lift the foot which he used and see if there are any remains of the Mary Sue that he just stomped. Nate entered his Gespy and let the SO see the flattened remains of a Mary Sue by lifting up its foot. The SO identified the Sue as a Tolkienverse Sue and immediately asked him if he was seen by anyone else. Nate said that he was seen by a lot of people, all of them stared with confusion and shock in their eyes , SO was not amused at all and ordered for mass neutralization in the LotR universe.
Nate was later given two choices: a) get transported back to his universe, have his memories wiped clean and become a faceless grunt of a rogue EFA division once more, or b) join PPC since they don't have anyone from the SRW universe and his Gespenst might come in handy. Nate took choice B since he actually found his true calling, killing Mary Sues and also because he does not want to become a fugitive.
When Nate was hired, he wasn't really liked by everyone since he entered the LotR universe and nearly destroyed the canon. Nate didn't care about it and focused on doing his missions along with his fantasy loving partner, Florina. Nate picked up some hobbies like assembling and painting mech scale models and playing video games since SO ordered him to stop piloting the Gespenst unless he really needs to in his missions. He also let anyone loan his Gespenst as long as they return it without any Sue Colors (especially urple) and Glitters (took him a month to remove the sparkling mess).
